MVP and software product development: we define it before we build it.

Alset is a nearshore software development company in Mexico. We build apps, SaaS platforms, and internal systems in five phases, each with a fixed price, so you know what you are buying before you commit the budget.

MVP_ It starts with your MVP: the first version of your product, with only what it needs to work for real users.

What we build

Software that runs a business, not brochure websites.

Marketplaces and transactional platforms

Internal systems

Inventory, operations, admin panels, client and supplier portals.

Regulated products

Such as HIPAA-compliant medical records and fintech platforms.

The five phases

Each phase delivers something you keep and prepares the next one.

1–3 days · USD 1,900

Product Clarity & Discovery Sprint

In a guided session we define the real scope of your MVP. You get an MVP Definition Document: scope, product requirements, user stories, and a clear go / no-go decision. It is yours even if you build with someone else.

02
Scope
2–5 days · USD 3,500

Product Architecture & Scope Blueprint

[x] Credited in full to your first Product Sprint

We turn the MVP definition into a backlog with acceptance criteria, an architecture, a timeline, and a quote based on estimated effort.

03
Validate · optional
1–3 days · USD 2,000

Product Preview Sprint

A functional preview to test the main flows, the UX direction, the branding, and the UI details, with two rounds of refinement. It is not the real product yet: there is no backend.

2 weeks each · USD 4,000 per sprint

Product Sprints

We build from the defined backlog in two-week sprints. Each sprint is paid in advance and ends with working functionality and a demo. You approve progress sprint by sprint, and if a feature is removed, that sprint is not charged.

What does it cost to build an MVP?

Most of the cost is known before you start.

The only number that depends on your product is how many sprints the build needs. The Blueprint gives you that estimate, with a timeline, before you commit to the build. That is why we do not quote a build without it: a quote without a defined scope is a guess.

PhasePriceHow it is charged
Discovery Sprint USD 1,900 Once
Blueprint USD 3,500 Once, and credited in full to your first Product Sprint
Preview Sprint (optional) USD 2,000 Once, if you need to validate first
Product Sprints USD 4,000 each One per two weeks of build
Launch Sprint USD 4,000 Once

Why we define before we build

When the build starts without a definition With the Product Delivery System
[ ]Scope keeps changing while the team is already building. [x]Scope is defined in the Blueprint, before the build.
[ ]The quote is a guess, and the cost moves with every change. [x]Every phase has a fixed price, and the Blueprint estimates how many sprints you need.
[ ]Key flows are tested after they are built. [x]You can test them in a preview first.
[ ]Progress is hard to see. [x]Working functionality and a demo at the end of every two-week sprint.
[ ]Launch is treated as the last technical task. [x]Launch has its own sprint, with production QA and a 30-day bug warranty.
[ ]Nobody is clear on what happens after launch. [x]A clear path: a dedicated team, a support plan, or a scoped change.

After launch

For a product that keeps evolving. A team led by an Alset tech lead, with QA, working from your backlog for a fixed monthly fee.

From USD 8,000 per month See dedicated development teams →

Support and maintenance

For a product that only needs to stay stable: incident handling, minor fixes, and an SLA. No new features.

Frequently asked questions

What is an MVP?

MVP stands for minimum viable product: the first version of your product, with only what it needs to solve the main problem for real users. It lets you launch and learn before you invest in everything else.

How much does it cost to develop an MVP?

The phases around the build have fixed prices: Discovery USD 1,900, Blueprint USD 3,500 (credited in full to your first Product Sprint), an optional Preview for USD 2,000, and Launch for USD 4,000. The build costs USD 4,000 per two-week sprint. How many sprints your product needs is what the Blueprint estimates, before you commit to the build.

How long does it take?

Discovery takes 1 to 3 days, the Blueprint 2 to 5 days, and the Preview 1 to 3 days. The build runs in two-week sprints, and the launch takes about a week. The Blueprint gives you the timeline for your product.

Can you just send me a quote?

Not for a build without a defined scope: any number would be a guess, and it would change. The Discovery Sprint defines the scope, and the Blueprint turns it into a quote based on estimated effort.

See the Discovery Sprint →
I already have a requirements document. Do I still need the Discovery Sprint?

Maybe not. We review it, and if it is clear enough we go straight to the Blueprint.

See the Blueprint →
How can a Discovery Sprint take only 1 to 3 days?

It is a guided working session with a defined output, and we use AI tools to speed up the documentation. The decisions about scope, trade-offs, and architecture are made by people.

What if I want changes during or after the build?

You approve progress sprint by sprint, and new requests go into later sprints. If a feature is removed, that sprint is not charged. After launch, changes are handled as a Product Increment or by a dedicated development team.

See dedicated development teams →
Do you work by the hour?

Not for building a product: phases and sprints give you more control over what gets built and how progress is measured. If you already have product direction and need more engineers, that is staff augmentation, which is billed by the hour.

See staff augmentation →
Where is the team, and what hours do you work?

The team is in Mexico and Latin America and works US business hours, in English.

What technologies do you use?

.NET (C#, SQL Server), Node.js / NestJS, React, Angular, and Python for AI and data, on Azure. For mobile apps, React Native or .NET MAUI.

Who owns what you deliver?

You sign with Alset, a US-established company that protects your intellectual property. The MVP Definition Document is yours even if you build elsewhere, and our How we work page explains what you own when a project ends.

See how we work →

Start with clarity, not with a quote.

A Discovery Sprint takes 1 to 3 days and costs USD 1,900. You leave with the definition of your MVP, and it is yours whatever you decide next.
